A wedding is one of life’s most wonderful moments: a time of love, commitment and solemn promise as well as a party. One of the most famous stories about Jesus happened at a wedding. The wedding at Cana was about to run out of wine, and Jesus turned water into large amounts of the best wine anyone had ever tasted – which shows you what Jesus thought of a good wedding.
Getting married at KPC
Kendal Parish Church’s magnificent interior and scenic surroundings provide the perfect venue for your wedding. But your church wedding doesn’t provide just a beautiful setting. You make your promises to each other before God as well as family and friends. You ask for God’s help in your life together.
We are delighted you want to get married in church and want to help you as much as possible in making your lifelong commitment to each other. We will work with you to make the ceremony special and personal.
What will our ceremony be like?
Some people choose a very traditional ceremony; others like to have their favourite music and a friend reading a much-loved poem. Others invite an orchestra or choir to play and sing! We will help you to choose your hymns, music and Bible readings.
Where can we get more information about church weddings?
