Welcome to Kendal Parish Church
Where people have encountered God’s love in Jesus for over a thousand years. We are a community of ordinary people seeking to live out our Christian faith today. Every Sunday, you will find a rich variety of worship here – from the beauty and rich tradition of Anglican liturgy and music to the informality of our ‘Gathering’ service. It’s not all about Sunday services, though, and we hope you’ll come and see more of what we do as a church from Monday to Saturday. Whatever your reason for coming here – whether you are in need of help; searching for a church; looking forward to your wedding or christening; exploring faith or simply planning to visit the area – come and visit us.
We are open 9.00am – 3.00pm Monday-Saturday & 8.00am – 3.00pm on Sundays (unless there is an evening servce at 4.00pm)

On April 6th, Passion Sunday, in Kendal Parish Church at 4.00pm there will be a performance of Seven Last Words from the Cross by Jonathan Bielby. Last year’s performance was an extraordinary unforgettable event in its emotional intensity. Laura Rushforth (St Mary Magdalene) and Andrew Revans (Christ) were the superb soloists, supported by KPC Choir and Friends with Andy Plowman at the organ.
This year we welcome back our two amazing soloists, choir and organist (Laura is flying over from Gibraltar specially for the performance!). And to top it all we are honoured to have with us Dr Paul Whittaker OBE (Founder of Music and the Deaf) who will sign the performance. Please do not miss this heart rending concert. The piece is steadily gaining converts and a recording of it has just come out, brilliantly sung by the Choir of Selwyn College Choir, Cambridge on the Regent label.
We also publish a monthly prayer calendar which you can
