Housegroups
At Kendal Parish Church, one of the ways in which we seek to grow in our faith and in our friendships with one another is through Housegroups.
Housegroups are where we meet in groups of 6-10 people in someone’s home for an hour or two to build friendship, explore questions, study the bible and pray together.
Mothers’ Union
Mothers’ Union is an international Christian charity that seeks to support families worldwide.
There is an active and flourishing Mother’s Union group at Kendal Parish Church which meets regularly throughout the year. New members are always welcome and if you are interested in coming along, please get in touch with us through the office.
Men’s Fellowship
Bellringing
There are twelve bells in the belfry, the oldest of which has been in use since at least 1537. The most recent addition, a bell dated 1866 came from our daughter church, All Hallows, Fellside. The pub next to the church, one of the few on consecrated ground, is called the Ring O’Bells.
We always welcome existing bellringers to join us for Sunday and/or practice. Please contact our Tower Captain, Kevin Mayfield on 07887723344 (text/phone), or email kevin.mayfield@btinternet.com, to confirm ringing times.
If you would like to know more about bells or learn to be a bell ringer, please use the contact form at the bottom of the history/tour/bells page: https://kendalparishchurch.co.
Flower Arrangers
We are always looking for people to help our dedicated team who make our church so beautiful throughout the year. Do contact us if you would like to know more.
PCC
The PCC is the elected council of the church. It is our job to work together to help the church move forward in mission and pastoral care. The PCC has various groups, made up of people from across the church. We meet to prayerfully think through and plan different aspects of our church life as we seek to be a welcoming Christian community serving the people of Kendal. We are committed to playing our full part in the Bishop’s Vision for the diocese: God for All. For more details of the diocesan vision, please visit the Carlisle Diocese website.
We are committed to ensuring that this is a safe place for everyone and take the safeguarding of children and vulnerable adults very seriously.
