Kendal is in the North West of England at the southern approach to the Lake District.
The town is clearly signed from the M6 motorway and it is 11km (7 miles) from Junction 36.
Rail connection is from Oxenholme station on the main line (3km from the church) or from Kendal station on the Windermere branch line (at 1.2km distance.)
The church is conspicuous by the river at the south end of the town (grid refce. 5167 9213) and lies at the southern end of a double loop of one-way streets. There is a large church car park (metered.)
The church is usually open from 9.00am and we close at 4.30pm in summer, 3.30 in winter.
