Friends of KPC

The parish church of the Holy Trinity Kendal has a long and distinguished history of worship and outreach to the people of Kendal and to visitors from further afield. There has been a church on this site for over 1,200 years, and the parish is mentioned in Domesday Book. The present building has stood since 1201. It has been extended and restored over the centuries as need arose. Today we continue to respond to need, as we seek to be a welcoming Christian community serving the people of Kendal. Here prayer is offered to the worship of God, here music is sung to His glory and His word is proclaimed. Here the people of Kendal gather on civic and other important occasions. Here all may pause and spend time in private prayer or reflection on eight centuries of Christian witness.

Here by God’s grace and with the help of all who share our vision of mission we shall sustain our witness in our ninth century.
